Delta is an atmospheric light that hints at psychedelic design from the 1970ies. It diffuses a warm and intriguing light without direct exposure of the light bulb. For Halfwerk, this light is a milestone as it was our first fixture in reclaimed steel that received a new paint-job. It was originally developed for a private movie theater.
Delta is made from discarded shelves and office furniture. Its measurements are optimised so that it can be watercut from a single shelf. After cutting, the steel is first folded and sandblasted. The parts are then powdercoated. Lastly, the fixture is assembled and electrified.
